The realisation that changed everything

I didn't start out wanting to coach. I started out wanting to figure out why talented people in professional services kept getting stuck.

After 11 years, I kept seeing the same pattern. Brilliant practitioners promoted into leadership roles with no preparation. Leaders who built the business but couldn't step away from it. Account Directors absorbing scope creep. Ops Directors managing chaos they could never get ahead of.

It looked like a process problem. The usual answers (more people, better software, another restructure) never seemed to fix it. Because the problem was never the system. It was always the behaviour around it.

Leadership isn't a feeling. It's a set of behaviours that can be measured and changed. I look at your performance through a commercial lens, not an emotional one.

I don't start sessions asking "How does that make you feel?" I ask: "Is this the highest commercial use of your time right now?"

I also work across both sides of the challenge facing professional services firms: the technology and the people. I've built the research pipeline, the diagnostic engine behind the LTI, and a quality-gated content system. AI is transforming the operational layer. But scope creep, meeting culture, and the inability to say no don't live on the operational layer. When you strip the busywork away, those problems don't disappear. They just have fewer places to hide.

Most coaches can't build the systems. Most technologists can't coach the humans. I do both.

What working with me looks like

Not therapy

This isn't a safe space to vent. It's a structured process to change your behaviour. I challenge your logic, question your defaults, and hold you accountable to the commitments you make.

Individuals, not teams

The shift from doer to leader is personal. It is about your habits, your fears, your defaults. When you change how you work, the ripple effect through your team is faster and more lasting than any team programme.

Concrete outcomes

By the end of the engagement, you'll have made at least one concrete shift in how you lead. A personal operating system that protects your strategic time and leadership capacity. Not just thought about it.
